Serving as the Chief Executive Officer and official representative of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library System (MFRL), the Library Director is responsible for administering all library functions within the goals, guidelines and policies established by the Library Board of Trustees. The Director is expected to provide solid leadership within the library, the community and the library profession.
Position requires Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science from an American Library Association accredited library school. Eight years experience as a professional public librarian with a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in public libraries required. Must be certified or eligible for certification by the Library of Virginia Board, and possess/acquire a valid Virginia Driver's License.
